Easter at Burg Schlitz

Easter is traditionally the festival of resurrection, we celebrate spring and the reawakening of nature. Easter 2025 is also marked by our reopening, because after a short period of closure, we will proudly present a few new features. Stay tuned!

Travelling to the SCHLOSSHOTEL BURG SCHLITZ

17 April 2025 - Maundy Thursday

We start with a champagne matcha cocktail in the Grüner Salon. Then it's off to the castle kitchen to chef Maik Albrecht. There you will experience a top-class kitchen party. You can look forward to seeing what he comes up with for this special evening. When it comes to drinks, sommelier Franziska Pauli will choose wines such as ‘Grüner Veltliner’, ‘Grüner Silvaner’ and ‘Grüner Muskateller’ in keeping with the theme.
18 April 2025 - Good Friday

Due to the special holiday, we are preparing a vegetarian breakfast with special egg dishes for you. Among other things, there is the legendary shakshuka from chef Maik Albrecht and, on request, a poached egg with caviar, even if it is not vegetarian.

In the evening we invite you to our ‘Mecklenburg fish menu’. The fish comes from regional farms and the Baltic Sea. We serve you one or the other mature wine rarity from Germany
19 April 2025 - Easter Saturday

After breakfast, you can either make use of our new sports facilities or take part in a guided tour of our 100-hectare park.

At 3.30 pm we will meet for an aperitif at the reception. This will be followed by a spring concert by the Brandenburg Concert Orchestra Eberswalde under the motto ‘Visiting the Strauss family’.

Afterwards, we will head to our gourmet restaurant ‘Der Wappensaal’ at 6 p.m., where Dr Julia Semmelhaack-Takeh, TCM doctor and developer of the 5-element retreat programme at Schlitz Castle, will introduce you to the basics of the 5-element nutritional theory. Chef Maik Albrecht has then prepared a harmonising 5-element fine dining menu with local specialities for you. Franziska Pauli integrates the 5 elements into every matching drink.
20 April 2025 - Easter Sunday

Enjoy Sunday breakfast until 11am. Afterwards we will meet for Easter mass in the chapel.

At 4.00 pm we will look for ‘the golden egg’ and collect whatever else we can find in the park.

At 6.30 pm we meet in front of the vaulted cellar and get in the mood for the evening with champagne and egg liqueur.

Our Easter BBQ then awaits you in our vaulted cellar. Enjoy meat specialities and other delicacies such as Störtebeker beer from the region.

Afterwards we will go together to our Easter fire, where we will round off the evening with live music.
21 April - Easter Monday

After a hearty breakfast, you can take your time to get ready for your departure.
At 11 a.m. we will say a quiet farewell with a small concert in the courtyard.

A little note: Maik Albrecht generally decides the menus according to the season and market situation. Please inform us in advance of any allergies, preferences or intolerances.

Easter from the perspective of the 5-element theory

On Maundy Thursday, we think of the element wood, the first element in the 5-element cycle, symbolising spring and the reawakening of nature, which we will bring to bloom with the colour GREEN (our matcha aperitif and our green kitchen party).

The vegetarian breakfast on Good Friday strengthens the earth element, while the fish menu activates our water element. Easter Sunday with the BBQ and Easter fire will focus on the element of fire.

Overall, however, at Burg Schlitz we attach great importance to the harmonious coordination of all 5 elements in food and drink, which is necessary to relax all areas of the body and senses.

During our 5-course menu on Easter Saturday with Dr Julia Semmelhaack-Takeh, you will also learn about the 5 elements in an entertaining and amusing way.
